Securing SBTi validation for our science based carbon targets marks a new milestone for Changshu Torin Automotive Parts Co., Ltd.’s sustainability journey. Upholding our commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility, Changshu Torin Automotive Parts Co., Ltd.will continue advancing carbon reduction initiatives through greater investment and innovation in clean energy, energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies, and circular resource utilization. We will also continuously strengthen our carbon management system to achieve our science-based targets.

Torin’s Emission-Reduction Targets

Near-Term Target

Changshu Torin Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. commits to reducing absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 37.8% by 2029, compared with the 2022 baseline year.*

The company also commits to reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions over the same period, covering purchased goods and services, fuel- and energy-related activities, waste generated from operations, employee commuting, downstream transportation and distribution, and end-of-life treatment of sold products. The target is a 48% reduction in emissions per million RMB of value-added output.*

Target boundaries include land-related emissions and removals from bioenergy feedstocks.Changshu Torin Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. has already taken tangible steps toward global decarbonization, including on-site photovoltaic installations and green-commuting initiatives. TÜV SÜD will continue partnering with Torin Group to address global climate change and advance a greener, lower-carbon future.
